Verity Credit Union has always taken a high priority in protecting our members’ identities and educating them about keeping their personal information safe.

To help assist our community with this, Verity is hosting a Shred-A-Thon on Saturday, June 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. What is a “Shred-A-Thon” you may ask?

We bring out the reliable company we use for our own shredding, the Seattle-based Shred-It company. Their representatives will bring their truck – complete with an industrial-size shredder – so you can stand by and watch your piles of tax returns, pay stubs and other sensitive documents be shredded without any worries.

While you are helping yourself by protecting your identity, consider doing something good for others too. At every participating Verity branch, we will be collecting non-perishable and monetary donations for that branch’s local food bank. Last year we raised over $2000 – do you think you can help us beat that this year?

Verity is hosting our community wide Shred-A-Thon at our Lynnwood, Auburn, and Beacon Hill branches.

What amount was raised last year for the food bank? You left blank the [INSERT AMOUNT HERE] in your template.

Thanks for the catch @sue – we fixed the post based on your comment. Shred-a-Thon 2011 was very successful – thanks you for your interest!
