Let’s face it: life is pretty crazy, full of twist and turns. We will encounter lots of changes as we grow and mature. So the question is: do we embrace change or do we run and hide from it?
I like to think I embrace change well. It scares the living daylights out of me, but I can handle a few fast balls life has thrown at me. Within the past five years of my life I have done a lot of changing. I got married, bought a house, and had a child. I have attempted to plan my life out to the best of my abilities. I planned out my pregnancy and what kind of parent I wanted to be. Of course my son has thrown many wrenches in my plans. I do my best to be a good parent with a very rambunctious little boy. The point is, I embraced the life change of having a child, then embraced the change from that planned change.
Doesn’t the saying go, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”? So if the change in life isn’t going to kill me, I must be getting stronger!!
So why all the talk about change? Verity’s Auburn Branch is going through an adventure right now. Both our Manager and Assistant Manager have been offered great opportunities that required them to step outside of our Verity Family. The Auburn staff is embracing this change with gusto. We are accepting it with arms wide open. We’re not running, we’re not hiding. It is certainly going to be different, but we are excited about the change. We are ready to learn from new management, to learn new aspects of Verity, and to offer the best possible member service we can.
