September 21st the Fremont Arts Council celebrated the Autumn Equinox with Luminata, the 12th annual lantern parade around Greenlake.  Lanterns are a beautiful way to mark the waning of summer and the coming of  Fall with it’s shortened days. The ceremony started with a lighted boat carrying the King and Queen of Summer. As the crowd bade them farewell with fire dancers and music, people began the walk toward the Bathhouse. There they were treated to multiple art installations, more music and a booth selling cider and cookies.

The Fremont Arts Council adds to the vibrant Seattle neighborhood scene year round. For information on how to join in as a donor or as an active participant visit the Fremont Arts Council.
