Recently, I was nominated for the Next Top Credit Union Executive contest (which is put on by the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES) and open to anyone under the age of 35 in the world that works at a credit union and isn't already a CEO). I submitted an application, rallied like crazy for votes and made it to the Top 15!
Being in the Top 15 means that I got a coaching session with one of the awesome staff of DDJ Myers, Susan Geear, and was profiled by CU Management. I also submitted a blog post talking about a project I am working on here at Verity.
It has been a great experience - and it isn't over yet! The judges are evaluating everyone left in the Top 15 (I'm the youngest still in the competition also) and trying to narrow it down to a Top 5 - who will get to go to the CEO/Executive Team Network in Florida in November. What will help me get to the next level? Comments on my aforementioned blog post as well as tweets, likes, shares, anything on social media.
