At Verity, we love getting feedback from our members. We use the information we get to help make the credit union better. One example of this has just gone into effect today: the drive thru at our Northgate branch is now open an hour earlier. The branch will open at the same time, but you can use the drive thru a whole hour earlier.

We had several members bring it up and are excited for this change. Do you have a suggestion, question or comment for Verity? Please let us know! We would love to have the opportunity to continue to grow to better serve our members.

Where's the best way to give feedback on a policy? I presume not here on this blog, but to give an idea of my concern: when I moved, I had a teller update my address. He also asked if I wanted to update my husband's address, so I did that. He then said it was "updated everywhere." Except, as it turns out, my son's account. We were surprised that, not only was my son's account not updated (he was 12 years old, so he has a kid's account under my primary account), but that my son's account - a child's checking account!! - was charged a $5 fee for a returned statement. When I asked a teller about a policy of charging a child's account for a returned statement, I was told curtly, "yep, we still had to send a new statement." This seems like a ridiculous policy. Either charge the parent account, don't charge kids' accounts at all, or have kids' addresses change with the parent account automatically. I would like to know how to go about getting this policy reviewed. Thanks.

Gosh, we are sorry that happened to you @TrulyScrumptious. If you send me an email with your information offline I can look into it and there might be something we can do to make amends. I can be reached at melinay[at]veritycu[dot]com - I hope to hear from you so Verity can improve. Thanks!
