Annual Charity Event – Wednesday, August 24

Equinox is proud to bring together business owners for a social gathering and a diaper drive to support Help A Mother Out and to benefit WestSide Baby in West Seattle. Diapers are the number-one need which are not covered under social-safety net programs like WIC or food stamps.

Our keynote speaker for this fun event is Shari Storm, an avid blogger, speaker, author of “Motherhood is the New MBA” and Senior Vice President of Verity Credit Union. Shari offers an entertaining and educational presentation on how raising children is actually high intensity management boot camp. The same rules we apply in managing our children can be used at the office – for tremendous results. Basic concepts like ‘count to three before giving a time out’, ‘never forget the magic word’, and ‘don’t put things in your mouth’, can be used at your company. Join us for wine, hors d’ oeuvres and lots of fun!

Location: Mercer Island Community Center 8236 SE 24th Street Mercer Island, WA 98040

Time: 4:00pm – 6:00pm

Cost: A box of diapers or wipes!! NOTE: Larger sizes and pull-ups are the greatest need

WestSide Baby is a wonderful non-profit organization for our West Seattle community. One of the things they do is to partner with the West Seattle Food Bank to distribute needed items to families with. Last year these two non-profits teamed up to distribute over $250,000 worth of items to families in need in the West Seattle community. Bravo for this great opportunity to support those in need in this time of stress in their lives.

I am not available that evening. Can I drop off a donation at any Verity CU?

@cmc – yes! Bring your donation by any branch and I’ll make sure I get it to the proper people. Thank you.
