Small Stones
A small stone is “a very short piece of writing that precisely captures a fully-engaged moment.”
swish, swish, swish.
The sound of counting out
welcomes the start of a three-day weekend.
This is a small stone I wrote last Saturday at the end of my shift.
A small stone is “a very short piece of writing that precisely captures a fully-engaged moment” and this month writers from around the world are participating in a community writing event known as “A River of Stones.”
This event was created by a lovely British woman named Fiona who loves writing, encouraging others to write, living fully and encouraging other to do the same.
Here are some more examples from my stream:

What a delightful project, thank you for sharing that Lara!
On the spot, inspired by your post, here’s a small stone: Laughter bubbles up, over the walls, in the halls. Even a gray day boasts sunshine among friends.
