Recently, our little family (my husband and 7 year old step son) went with a couple friends to Ride The Duck in Seattle. We thought it would be fun for him, and I had heard good things from the Verity Mom, Rosemary Garner. She also rode The Duck recently with her daughter and had a great time.

So, we bought our "wacky quackers" (awesome plastic, duckbill-shaped noisemaker) and got ready to explore this great city where we live. It is a 90 minute tour that goes over land and water, and the vehicle drives right into Lake Union, which the 7 year old thought was great fun.

The "captain" of our duck was very funny, and really has to be the most secure man in the world. The way he dances in front of large crowds every day is quite impressive. The views we saw were amazing and it was a good way to just sit back and learn about our city. I know that I learned some things about Seattle I never knew.

In short, I think it is good for everyone to find the kid within themselves every so often and try something a little out of the ordinary. If you are looking for something fun, consider riding the Duck. Do you have any other suggestions for fun things to do with kids in Seattle? Have you ridden the Duck too? Did you like it? I am curious to know if everyone else has enjoyed it as much as our little family did.

Have a fun and exciting day acknowledging your inner child!
