Good things come to those who wait: An Online Branch Update
So our March launch will now be mid-May. Technically, still spring, but a wait nonetheless.
We were on course to launch our Online Branch in March 2009, but we've hit a speedbump. More time is needed to get our internal system and our new online banking software talking to each other. (That's a euphemism for API development!) In order to show available and current balances on all your accounts, enable you to transfers funds between Verity and other financial institutions, and give you better transaction descriptions for your online bill payments, some heavy duty programming is in order.
So our March launch will now be mid-May. Technically, still spring, but a wait nonetheless. In the following weeks, I hope to have some screenshots of some Online Branch features to share on this blog.
It will be worth the wait. Really.

Are any mock-ups/screen shots of the new site available as a teaser perhaps? We’re excited! :)

I hope to have screenshots and mock-up to share in the coming weeks. I would rather show what our Online Branch is going to look like rather than show default screens that hint at what the Online Branch may or may not look like. Because it is so early in development and design (heck, nothing has been designed yet, at least visually), the design could go through several iterations and I don’t want you all to think it’s going to look like one thing—and have it turn out to be another. Does that make sense?

It certainly makes sense – thanks for the response!
Looking forward to seeing the outcome of all the hard work of you and and everyone else who’s helping!
